Welcome to The Remote Catalyst VA Directory

Looking to work with aligned, premium clients without chasing job boards or pitching strangers?

You’re in the right place but let’s be clear about what this is and what it isn’t.

This is a high-touch, hand-matched placement process. Not a job board or an agency gig.

Meet Your Matchmaker | Tricia Harrison

Hi, I’m Tricia—Remote Work Strategist, VA Business Mentor, and the founder of The Remote Catalyst.

I’ve spent over a decade working online as an Executive Virtual Assistant and have helped dozens of overworked women transition into specialized, well-paid VA roles that don’t burn them out.

This VA Directory isn’t some mass hiring board or agency pipeline.

It’s boutique, energy-aligned, and built around real relationships.

I personally vet every VA in this directory and only match clients with assistants who are ready—not just available. Clients come to me because they trust the process, and I need to be able to trust who I recommend.

So if you’re a VA who’s great at what you do, loves structure with soul, and wants real support—not just another pitch-to-play situation—this is where you belong.

How the Process Works

Step 1: Apply to Join

Start by filling out the VA Application Form. This gives me insight into your skills, services, experience, availability, and vibe.

Step 2: 1:1 Interview

If I see a potential fit, you’ll be invited to a short 1:1 Google Meet interview with me. This is our chance to explore how you communicate, what kinds of clients you work best with, and whether there’s strong alignment for future placement.

Step 3: Task Scenario & Communication Test

If the interview goes well, you’ll be invited to complete a real-world task scenario and response test. This helps me assess how you think, solve problems, and communicate with potential clients.

Step 4: Shortlisting

Once you pass the testing phase, you’ll be officially added to my shortlist for client matches. When a business owner comes in that aligns with your vibe, skillset, and availability—you’ll be considered for placement.

Step 5: Match Presentation

If selected, I’ll send you the client profile, details about the work, expected hours, and what they’re looking for. You get to decide if it feels aligned before moving forward. You’ll never be forced into a role.

Step 6: Placement & Onboarding

If both sides say yes, you’ll receive a custom onboarding SOP with everything you need to integrate smoothly into the client’s business.

Step 7: Post-Placement Support

I don’t just match and disappear. I check in with you at Day 7, Day 14, and Day 30 to make sure the role is working for you—and to support you if anything needs to shift.

Important Things to Know

  1. You are NOT paid by The Remote Catalyst. The client (company) pays you directly.

  2. You are NOT guaranteed placement. Being in the directory means you're eligible to be matched—not promised work.

  3. You have full choice and consent. You get to decide if a client and role are a good fit for you.

  4. You set your own rates. I do not dictate what you charge, but I will let you know the client’s budget range.

  5. This is not an employment contract. You are an independent contractor and fully responsible for negotiating your own rates and terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you guarantee placements?

No. Being added to the directory means you are eligible for placement if a client matches your skills and vibe. I do not promise work, income, or clients.

Do you take a percentage of my pay?

Nope. You keep 100% of your rate. The client pays you directly. I charge them a one-time placement fee.

Will I be working for The Remote Catalyst?

No. I am not your employer or manager. I’m a matchmaker between founders and highly qualified VAs.

Who pays me?

The client pays you. You’ll agree on rates and payment terms directly with them.

Can I say no to a placement?

Absolutely. If a client doesn’t feel aligned or the rate doesn’t work for you, you can decline the opportunity.

Can I set my own rate?

Yes. You tell me your rate range in the application and during the interview. I’ll only match you with clients who meet or are close to your rate.

How long does it take to get matched?

It depends on the client flow and your specific niche. Some VAs are matched within a few weeks. Others may wait longer. There’s no guaranteed timeline.

Will I be trained?

No, but I will provide feedback and guidance during onboarding. You’re expected to have the skills you say you offer.

What kind of clients do you work with?

Mostly online business owners, coaches, content creators, service providers, and founders earning $10K–$30K/month who need strategic, reliable support.

Will I receive support after placement?

Yes! I check in at Day 7, Day 14, and Day 30 to make sure the placement is going smoothly.

Can I be removed from the directory?

Yes. If you ghost a client, misrepresent your skills, or fail to communicate during the process, you may be removed.
